This mesh tube is comparable to 300B-XLS. It can run in 300B-XLS applications, provided the plate dissipation does not exceed 42 Watt, and the amplifier can supply the slilghtly heater current of the 300B-XLM.

Also it replaces the now obsolete 300BM tube.

Due to (sometimes) higher noise floor with mesh tubes in general, we recommend this tube as speaker output tube. We do not recommend it for head-phone, but it can be used for pre amplifiers with attenuating output transformer.
